THE
GLASS OPTION
For all users of book cradle (models: Book Cradle12, 15, 30 or 50), the glass option becomes essential in the following situations:
- when digitizing small, thick books, which usually have a very stiff binding and have a tendency to close naturally
- when digitizing pages that fan out from a normal flat position
- to digitize inserts or loose leaf items -documents inserted on a page - which have to be unfolded and set flat,
- to minimize the operator's physical contact.
From a conservation point of view, the glass plate option allows the pages to have minimal direct operator contact
The glass plate option covers an A2 landscape format (2 x A3), equivalent to16.5 inches x 21 1/4 inches. The glass option is compatible with the bi-directional scanning mode.
The
glass option adapts itself on all the scanners of the SUPRASCAN range,
and on the DigiBook 2000LC model. In the A0 scanner case (DigiBook A0),
a specific kit of assembly is necessary to attach the option directly
onto the book cradle 12, 15, 30 or 50 cm thickness (GLASS-KITA0).
